Kleptocracy of Pakistan, Gujjar nala and Behria Town

Civil society is unable to address the assault on human rights of gujjar nala and bahria town. The crimes are particularly violent considering they are in the middle of COVID and ramadan.

Civil society is powerless in Pakistan, and the kleptocracy reigns supreme. They don’t serve the masses, instead it's the other way round. Bureaucracy is also a tool of oppression of the masses. The government has two main modes, indifference and violence. It is empowered by the military, the business elite and the parliament of landed elites.

The army is the biggest business empire in the country, vesting interests in real estate development, agriculture, supply chain, foreign affairs, border control, policing and obviously defense.

31 families rule the Pakistan Stock Exchange, cornering their interests on where the financial support is directed, who is granted access to licenses, access to subsidies etc.

The parliament seats are contested amongst those who can afford to campaign, with sufficient surplus capital at their disposal to form alliances with established parties. Parties themselves being largely dynasties with entrenched privileges and a guaranteed voter base in their feudal villages, be it Sindh, Punjab or Baluchistan.

These ruling elites are what keeps teh rest of the 220 million subservient and trapped in a system designed to extract whatever it can out of them. In return they fund media giants to keep the public busy with political theatre and dramas to keep teh masses directionless and jaded.

We need a narrative of who’s actually controlling the headspace of the residents of this country. Who is ultimately responsible and accountable for the horrible situation so many people are trapped in?

“If we can all agree that something’s wrong,” Beaudoin says, “and we can all agree on a path toward making it right, there’s no impediment to us making it happen—at any scale.”

A simple narrative is the most effective one. We need better stories, charged with the language of justice, Islam’s doctrines on equity and rights, and responsibilities of leadership to build the country up to a place where the average live is marked less miserable and more sustainable.

tonight i restart documenting the stories and event and thought that happen in my life.

It's been a while since I did this. But now i'm back as i recently watched a TED talk on how we should converse. One of the points that the presenter made was that we, as society have become to divided and hence we get offended when we are faced with someone who doesn't things the same way we do.

Hence we should start to listen to others more, and if we really want to express our thoughts on subject matters, we should start writing a blog of our own. This is why I've come back to blogging. Primariliy because i have started to increasingly feel that facebook and other social media platforms are not safe spaces to talk, share and discuss personal views.

I have started to feel that I judge others who share their oppinions about things that I may not really agree with. SO I dont want to see those things reemerge in my news feed all that time. Also I don't want to end up on the other end of this conundrum either. I don't want to be unfriended or unfollowed because i may have said something that may have annoyed or offended someone else.

This is why I've returned to blogging, where i can talk about things that I feel are personal and worth writing about. I want to create content and maybe even share with others. I think this will also help me improve my writing abilities. SO there's that.

funny thing I found about the Iphone today is that its parts are relatively much more easily accessible. yet in contrast, the same company's computers are on totally the opposite side of the spectrum. The international market has huge demands for the phone, its like a 'toyota' of the smartphone world. The Mac on the other hand is like an outdated Bentley or maybe a maserate; which just is too expensive to afford for the repairs and modifications.
so, this was just a surprizing inquiry I stubled upon today. though i'd share

i've been thinking , i have been thinking about life in general. it's really enticing to just sit back a enjoy the bits of moments that the internet provides and be lost in the infinite bits of entertainment it has to offer

i get lost in longing fo rher, every time i recall her mesmorizing allure which leaves me dumbfounded
may be it is the conseption of her that i'm in love with yet i want her so bad . i become so relentless . i cant keep al these feelings for myself, i expose my weakness when i expres these feelings to the people who are remotely close to me.

maybe it is true that what i am experiencing right now is something that the western aliberal generation may have experienced much before this age i am in at the moment .

but i cant help myself. maybe its because i've restrained myself so much , from going out and experiencing the world's offereings . the bounties that are so close in reach because i live in the msot affluent regions, with so much opportunity to investigate the available variety of people experiences etc.

my weekends are something i look forward to yet as i get through them i start to despise them. the vacuum they instill within me , oh how painful this lonliness can become. aothough it is nothing compared to what the experiences wre 2 years back. because now my family is with me , it is much more bearable.

yet it is also true that i am comfined, self confined rather to my own private space of my room, ny screen, my virtual reality .

i read this amazingly relevant quote yesterday about solitude. that it is a great place to visit, but a horrible space to stay.
i cant think of much else to write.

i also want to share something i learned today , that yesterday evening a cyclist of age 34 died in a 6 vehicle colision which was less than 4km away from my house. i hvant told this to my mom, because i care for her, and i do not want her to worry about me as a i ride my bike on these roads, at night.

i think the compromises i am starting to make with my mom reflect a sense of maturity that i am attaining, although at a steady pace. i think to a more or less extent the life of marraige is gonna be the same,

because you think you love the person you have on your mind constantly . but rather its the conception of that person that you adore. and with the strike of reality i think to atleast some extent ther would be a need to establish compromises.
